No doubt that John Masters Organics has made a claim in my skincare-routine. I have to say that I like the products and the brand as a whole. I will review the other products soon. Just realized that I never reviewed any of John Masters Organics hair care products. So, I’m going to do that now. I’ll start with Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment. I have had my bottle for about nine(?) months and I have loved using it. I’ve seen improvement on my hair in terms of texture, look and my dreads had been in nicely in between washes (during shampooing).

I’m a natural hair care freak sooo when I saw these products with “scalp” or “follicle” in their names, without a doubt I knew I had to give it a try. I also noticed that John Masters Organics Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment comes in a variety of sizes (20 ml – 650 ml) so this is perfect if you don’t know how a hair product will react on your hair. There is always a risk when trying out something new on your hair so the smallest size was perfect for me to try out. The uses of Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment are: thinning or limp hair, by improving the condition of your scalp and encouraging hair growth. And as the description of the product says, for me it was really true. Now, I don’t have thin or limp hair but my dreads were thinning and I would feel it. So, I bought it.
The pump on the bottle’s is really fine, doesn’t squirt too much. It is made out of plastic and I read in a lot of blogs and online, people were complaining about the bottle’s material. This is my opinion on the bottle. It has to be plastic, if the bottle is made out of glass, it will break.

Have you ever heard of John Masters Organics? It is an organic hair care brand, they also have skincare products which are just as great! In my opinion, I would recommend every John Masters Organics Organic Shampoo and Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment for people with thinning or limp hair. Or for people who want to grow their hair longer. But that would be the question, how much longer will my dreads get? Will they get thicker along the way? I’ll be honest, I don’t know yet. What I do know is that my dreads did get some volume. my dreads were thinning, now they don’t. But all in all, this product is handy if you want healthy hair. It makes your hair shiny and emphasizes your hair’s natural texture. I have curly hair, and my hair did dry out after washing, hair felt very thin and seemed to be parched – this was after using it. Now I don’t have the same problem. Sometimes I would use a little bit of Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil on my hair when it’s wet to smooth them out. I’m not saying that you have to use Coconut oil after washing, you can use anything you want, I just found that this worked for me.
John Masters Organics Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment contains 62% organic ingredients, the following plant extracts so to speak: sage, lemongrass, lemon balm, patchouli, yarrow, calendula, lavandin and fennel. I can’t define every ingredient in it. I use this treatment with the other John Masters Organics Shampoo. The treatment has a liquid consistency, a naturally occurring sediment is to occur and this should be filtered before use. Please shake the bottle before use.

The active ingredient that can be found in Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment is peppermint. Peppermint is a well-known herb for its refreshing and stimulating qualities. Peppermint has the ability to clear congested skin, and open up pores, promote cell regeneration and to give a kick to the mood. The active ingredient is also known by the key property menthol which gives the exhilarating all-natural aroma. This essential oil is very well known for its stimulating effects on the skin and scalp. Peppermint also has antibacterial properties, which makes it a great help for seborrhea and hair loss.
With continuous use of peppermint you can decrease sebum production and restore normal sebum levels. Peppermint is well known for its anti-bacterial effects. It can work perfectly if you have oily and itchy scalp. Peppermint has been said to cure scalp diseases and infestations with the help of its antibacterial properties.
This hair product is fantastic! I have combed my hair after use, and it shows. I have to say hair looks exactly the way I want it to be, I like it. Comb my hair and my dreads are way more noticeable. This product smells great too, the scent is natural, not as strong as I thought it would be, but still great. The scent transports me back to that country life. John Masters Organics Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment comes in an easy-to-use spray bottle with a perfectly fine mist application. The bottle comes with a pump dispenser and it’s definitely worth it. The bottle is made out of hard plastic, which is re-usable. The pump is made out of hard plastic too, which I’m not a big fan of. If you’re not careful enough, pump will break and you can’t use it anymore. Of course you can always go ahead and buy another bottle (which I did). This product is 100% free from parabens, sulphates, silicones, etc. which is always good to know.
If you have dry and itchy scalp, you’ll love this stuff! There is a variety of hair products out there so if you have any allergies, you probably will find something for yourself. If you have problems with your hair thinning, I would highly recommend this. I’m going to give John Masters Organics Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment 10/10.
