The box is appealingly minimalist; it bears some resemblance to a pair of Speedos, and it is also sturdy and modern. It felt very well put together with no sharp edges or rough spots and a nice weight in the hand and a sensation of quality. It is also beautiful in its simplicity, and you can see how the Black & Blum designers have cleverly maximised the use of every square millimetre of space, and designed the lunch box so that a single piece of foodstuff can be placed in a variety of configurations.
The Black And Blum Stainless Steel Lunch Box has a hole that runs the length of the box on the underside, through which it is possible to fit the stainless steel spatula which is supplied. The spatula is perfect for lifting the hot food out of a sauté pan and transferring it to the lid at meal times. This is a brilliant idea and proved very useful, and we are not sure if it was to do with the lunch box or the brand, but Black & Blum has some amazing ideas, and most of them are relevant to the food, entertaining and household products market.

It is also useful for transporting pasta dishes.
