Cauldron Treacle is a good quality treacle produced from 100% pure well toasted sugar. It comes in a handy sized 500g tin which is easy to use and has a pull top lid. It is made from hand picked, well toasted golden insides of sugar cane and is free from all of the so called E numbers.
It was the subject of a taste test in which it scored high marks.
It is a quck and easy sweet snack in quantity and quality. When my daughter introduced this into the kitchen I initially thought it was something which was from North America and based on syrup. However, given the small size of the tin for such a high quality product and its provenance, this treacle is akin to the treacle used in Britain to flavour the water in which a traditional barm cake is cut and spread.
