The worst thing in using a tampon is the plastic-made applicator that gets thrown away, and parasitically stays in nature for hundreds of years. So my choice of enviromentally friendly tampons are Natracare, which are not only plastic applicator free, but are also made of organic cotton, and are themselves fully biodegradable. And of course they come in different sizes that would suit the heaviness of one’s period.
