The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo

This product was recommended by Daniel Golson from Best Roof Box Guide

This book is all about decluttering your home and making it a more peaceful place to live. It’s a great read for any mom who feels like she’s constantly cleaning up after her family and never has any time for herself.

Hands Free Life by Rachel Macy Stafford

This product was recommended by Gauri Manglik from Instrumentl

I love this book! Hands Free Life: Nine Habits for Overcoming Distraction, Living Better, and Loving More by Rachel Macy Stafford is an incredible read for moms because it’s about how to be present with your kids. The author talks about how she used to be distracted and always on her phone when she was home with her kids, but then she decided to change her ways—and it’s helped her be a better mom. I think that this book is so helpful because there are so many things that pull us away from our families in this day and age: social media, TV shows, etc. But it doesn’t have to be that way. With the right mindset, you can be present with your family and spend quality time with them instead of just passing by them on the way to work or checking your phone every few minutes while they’re trying to tell you something important.

You Are a F*cking Awesome Mom by Leslie Anne Bruce

This product was recommended by Melinda Jameson from SuperWAHM

It goes without saying that motherhood is one of life’s greatest gifts – and also one of the greatest hurdles. As a mother of two myself, it’s the latter that no one seems to tell you about. More often than not, society brushes the difficulties that come with becoming a mother under the rug, only focusing on the beauty and the excitement. That is why I recommend a book that tackles the struggles head-on and walks you through how to accept and manage them – You Are a F*cking Awesome Mom: So Embrace the Chaos, Get Over the Guilt, and Be True to You by Leslie Anne Bruce. Leslie paints a true, accurate picture of the experience of motherhood without any sugar-coating. She teaches you how to embrace the struggle and reminds us that despite it all, we are doing our best at taking care of our children. Sometimes we don’t need solutions or advice, we just need some reassurance – and that’s exactly what this book provides.

My Guru Wears Heels by Joanna Rajendran

This product was recommended by Natalie Bickel from Brielle Cotterman Media

Did you ever wonder if Jesus had a bestie? How did average girl Joanna Rajendran have such a backstage pass to magical Guru Tao Porchon-Lynch? This intergenerational spiritual journey shows how the philosophies of the world’s oldest yoga teacher shaped two women generations apart. From trauma to triumphs and everything in between, these friends experience their respective worlds guided by the inspiring lessons first learned and then passed on by Tao. In addition to teaching for more than 70 years, Tao was an activist, an actress, a model, a producer, and a writer. Later in life, she was on the Panel for Peace with His Holiness The Dalai Lama, collaborated with Tony Robbins, and was considered by Deepak Chopra to be his yoga teacher. Joanna watched in awe as Tao inspired transformation in everyone she encountered and at the end realized that her own may have been the biggest.

The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel

This product was recommended by Jennie Miller from Midss

This book was fantastic. It has a great writing style, characters and incredible stories of lives often come at a high price, going from nobody to somebody and back again. Admire people from afar, but keep in mind that you never know what is going on behind closed doors. This book deals with a very real scenario with long term consequences, particularly for the most vulnerable and naive readers.

30 Things I Love About Myself by Radhika Sanghani

This product was recommended by Jennie Miller from Midss

One thing that made this book extra special for me was that I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by the author herself. You should go into 30 Things I Love About Myself with the expectation that it is not romcom because it most emphatically is not. The title says it all and while it wasn’t as funny as I was hoping for and felt a little drugged out in places, it was still a very enjoyable and emotional experience. I have become an instant fan of Sanghani and look forward to reading more of her work.

There are Girls like Lions by Karolin Schnoor

This product was recommended by Jacquelyn Kennedy from PetDT

This is a beautiful book with a collection of poems about the experience of being a woman, and I find it very relevant to be a mother, as it is something I share with my daughters. The poems make you reflect, and I find them to be very uplifting.

The Joy of Small Things by Hannah Jane Parkinson

This product was recommended by Kathleen Fletcher from Kitty Baby Love

Parkinson’s writing style is a joy in itself to read.. Her narrative follows this journey of discovering enjoyment and happiness in the small, everyday things that we encounter – a very important lesson! It is common for humans to focus on the negative aspects of their day, and to only feel happy when faced with big and positive changes. However, this book encourages you to ‘[savor] the small pleasures of life’, making it an uplifting read for mothers around the world.

Tell Me Your Life Story, Mom by Questions About Me

This product was recommended by Jennifer Gregory from Vegas Food & Fun

This is more of a journal than a book, but it is incredibly uplifting and empowering. It is full of questions that prompt you to record your experience and journey as a mother, full of reflections and life lessons that you can then pass on to your children. I think it’s a beautiful book to complete yourself, and would also make a great gift for any new mothers!

Fresh Start for Moms by Valerie Woerner

This product was recommended by Jessica Fields from Take It From Jess

This book is the perfect way to start each day of the month off on the right foot. By focusing on gratitude, letting go of negative thoughts and setting positive intentions, you will set yourself up for encouragement and success. This book helped me realize each day, no matter what was thrown at me, that I was thankful to be a mom.

In Patagonia By Bruce Chatwin

This product was recommended by Sean Harris from FamilyDestinationsGuide

This is a book that has changed travel writing. The writer directs everyone’s imagination. He also tries to point out the less-known and contemporary facts of Patagonia that can take anyone by surprise. I am suggesting these for moms who love traveling but are not able to due to some commitments. This could be uplifting in terms of exploring and imagining the concept of travel, which the writer has brought forth beautifully.

You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero

This product was recommended by James “Jimmy” Watts from Own The Grill

Why? It’s all too easy for new moms to lose their sense of self and who they really are as they submerge themselves in the role of the primary caregiver for their kids, which doesn’t benefit them or their children. Sincero’s book provides a solid blueprint that moms can use to remember who they were, their goals, and what makes them incredible, so they can stamp their identity on the world and become the sort of life coach that any child would be proud to call their mother.

The Power of Letting Go by John Purkiss

This product was recommended by Granger McCollough from Elite Patio Direct

You know the old Army saying about being all you can be? That’s what Purkiss attempts to teach his readers with this book, in an inspirational guide to finding the true you that every mom needs to read in order to become the best parent and role model to her kids that she can possibly be. And with a little help from this book, that’s exactly what every mom, dad, and anyone else who reads this book can be. The best version of themself.

The Club by Ellery Lloyd

This product was recommended by Jim Snediker from Stock Mfg. Co.

The Club by Ellery Lloyd is a mysterious book and beautifully written. The plot of the book is about a murder that happened in a private club in England at the weekend. The Club is a coup and treats to the reader who loves to read thriller suspense stories. The interesting part of this book is it is filled with moral dilemmas and a smart blend of different lifestyles. I suggest this to people who love island mysteries and multifaceted thrillers. Ellery Lloyd is the pseudonym of a husband and wife team: Collette Lyons and Paul Vlitos.

The Vibrant Mom by Jenny Abercrombie

This product was recommended by Jenny Abercrombie from Naturopathic Wellness Center

The Vibrant Mom is not just a book. It is a guide that helps you rebalance your health postpartum from the inside out. Written from clinical experience & years of research, you are given a natural, root cause approach that sets you up to feel your best and thrive.

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

This product was recommended by Lori Taylor from The Produce Moms

On a soggy afternoon, Gretchen Rubin found the most unlikely spot to experience enlightenment: a city bus. Then she realised, The years are short, but the days are long. Time is passing, and I’m not paying enough attention to important issues. She decided to commit a year to her happiness project at that precise time. In this engaging and riveting account—which the author has now updated with fresh information—Rubin describes her experiences throughout the year-long period when she tested out ancient wisdom, current scientific knowledge, and teachings from popular culture regarding how to be happier.

Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

This product was recommended by Zarina Bahadur from 123 Baby Box

This whip-smart and wonderfully funny novel, which served as the basis for the Cate Blanchett-starring film, centres on a misanthropic matriarch who inexplicably vanishes, leaving her quirky family in a state of upheaval. Everything started when Bee earned the promised reward—a family trip to Antarctica—by getting an A on her report card. Bernadette, however, has become so agoraphobic due to her escalating allergy to Seattle and people in general that she now hires a virtual assistant in India to handle her most basic chores. Travelling to the edge of the planet presents challenges. To track down her mother, Bee gathers emails, official papers, and private letters. The result is a compulsively readable and unexpectedly moving tale about wasted genius and the relationship between a mother and daughter in a ridiculous world.

Becoming by Michelle Obama

This product was recommended by Megan Mbengue from Trusted Canna Nurse

The intimate, moving, and motivating memoir by the former First Lady of the United States is now available in paperback. It includes a new introduction by Michelle Obama, a letter from the author to her younger self, and a book club guide. In her memoir, a work of in-depth reflection and captivating storytelling, Michelle Obama invites readers into her world by chronicling the experiences that have shaped her, from her upbringing on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive banker. She tells her complete experience as she has lived it—in her own words and according to her terms—detailing her achievements and her disappointments, both public and private, with unwavering honesty and vivid wit.

I Will Carry You by Angie Smith

This product was recommended by Smriti Tuteja from Yogic Experience

Beautiful and profound are not enough to explain this book which is intertwined with grief and courage. It narrates the story of a couple who chose to bring their child into the world despite knowing that the child didn’t have a chance at life. A 9 months+2.5 hours long relationship is described so well that it will send you through a roller-coaster of emotions. It is a story that will give you are fresh perspective on pain and grief. It is heartbreaking yet tender but a great read of moms who will count their blessings and love their children a bit more. Also ideal for grieving moms, rainbow moms, and those who didn’t get to become moms.

This product was recommended by Nikki Soulsby from NikkiSoulsby

Have you ever had these thoughts: I can fix everything, a bigger weight means a smaller life, I’m ruined, or I’m an imposter? Nikki Soulsby had all these and more and revolutionized her life in 18 months. She didn’t go to a special course. She didn’t spend thousands on therapy or a retreat. She didn’t even change who she was. She made some teeny, tiny tweaks that had massive benefits. Written for the busy woman, this book cuts the fluff with short chapters and practical advice. Nikki gives you the cheat codes to start living your dreams without overhauling your life.

Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman

This product was recommended by Ana Urban from Life’s Pretty Wild

As a mom, I am constantly faced with to-do’s and priorities and requests pulling me in every single direction. Before reading this book I was plagued by the guilt of not “doing it all.” I know it sounds trite, but this book changed my life. I no longer feel guilt or shame for the things I didn’t get to, because I finally understand that I never will. Instead, I’m choosing to focus on the things that bring me joy, and that actually move the needle towards the things that matter most. For mothers everywhere, Four Thousand Weeks will finally let you exhale.
