Revolutionary Power by Shalanda Baker

This product was recommended by Bryan McKenzie from Bumper Crop Times

First published in January 2021, this book has already become a deskbook for activists who struggle to make their contribution to the global energy inequality crisis. Did you know that race and access to energy still interfere? Well, the 2017 Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico proves it. Baker is a queer woman of color who was strong enough to study and unveil the problem and encourage people of color to create their own energy systems to become less dependent on authorities that are not respectful enough. This book is a unique and exceptionally strong manifest on the power supply problem and it’s essential for activists of all skin colors.

How to Avoid a Climate Disaster by Bill Gates

This product was recommended by Nicholas Martin from Pest Control Hacks

Suddenly, Bill Gates publishes a book on climate change and it’s a really good one. As promised on the cover, Gates describes all the solutions that have already been taken to reduce the impacts of climate change and compares them to the effort that still needs to be taken. The disbalance between the need and real effort being made by people, corporations, and governments is horrifying and Gates does a great job of opening the reader’s eyes to the problem. The book is also incredibly inspirational and makes you think more about your daily decisions and attitude to nature.

Why? Incredible as it seems, there are still doubters and skeptics on the subject of climate change – and the causes of it. This book skillfully and painstakingly demonstrates WHY there are still climate change deniers, HOW they are succeeding to continue to sow seeds of doubt – and crucially WHO they are! If you were a climate change skeptic before – I guarantee you won’t be after reading this book.
