Forces of Nature by Anna Reser
This product was recommended by Frances Lincoln from Quarto Knows
Forces of Nature sets the record straight and charts the fascinating history of women’s discoveries in science. From the ancient world to the present women have been critical to the progress of science, yet their importance is overlooked, their stories lost, distorted, or actively suppressed. In this thoroughly researched, authoritative work, you will discover how women have navigated a male-dominated scientific culture – showing themselves to be pioneers and trailblazers, often without any recognition at all.

Pusher of the Possible by Anthony Gruppo, CEO of Marsh Commercial UK takes a look at how corporate leadership is changing from a top down dictatorship style to servant leadership. The book itself is different as it starts with podcast interviews with servant leaders in corporate America and then dives into Anthony’s thoughts about the topics they brought up. Millennial Money Queens, by Maria Alcantara
This product was recommended by Maria Alcantara from Millennial Money Queens
This is a progressive book on personal finance for women, it is written to help young women revolutionize their relationship with money, take control over their finances and create a life of purpose, fulfilment and abundance. It is unlike typical finance books in that it isn’t filled with dry and boring financial technobabble. Rather, it is entertaining, educational and motivational and should be on the radar of every progressive lady out there.
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
This product was recommended by Dave Pedley from YourCub
The totally credible way that populist, agenda-driven politics can insidiously capture, degrade and ultimately destroy a society’s basic structures, norms, and values through religious fundamentalism and brute force. It details an all-too-realistic and credible pathway to sexual and gender discrimination, religious extremism, and the enslavement of women and others. Progressives should read it to bolster their belief in progress!
Lead from the Outside by Stacey Abrams
This product was recommended by Krishna Rungta from Guru99
I would recommend “Lead from the Outside” to every progressive. In the book, the author briefly describes leadership as hard and convincing others and yourself. The book is written with an eye towards the challenges that hinder women, people of color, and the working class. The author Stacey Abrams gives the reader just enough about her past then moves quickly to where she is now. This book is a great booster for women or minorities who have been disadvantaged.

True or False by Cindy L. Otis
This product was recommended by Gina Harper from Harper’s Nurseries
As a progressive person, I am interested in change, progress and exploring new ideas. Progressive thinkers ask questions and take time to research. The term Fake News has become so embedded in our culture that it would seem ludicrous to accept media reports on face value without taking the time to fact check. The problem is how do you figure out what’s fake and what’s real? Thankfully there are experts who can help out in this area. Cindly L. Otis, a former CIA analyst has put together a comprehensive guide to help people spot fake news and make sense of the information we receive.. She talks us through the history of misinformation going as far back as the ancient Egyptians. Indeed, fake news isn’t a new phenomenon, it has been used to further agendas throughout history. Cindy uses her experience as a former analyst to help the reader put information into context. Also covered are ways to manage our own biases. A must-read for any progressive who seeks facts and truth.
Tools of Titans by Timothy Ferriss
This product was recommended by Dimitris Tsapis from PlanM8
This is an exceptional book! It’s a selection of interviews with ultra-successful figures from his podcast. It gives not only valuable information but also carries the beliefs and mindsets of these awesome people. The book includes learnings from business, philosophy, and life, that are boosted by the guests and his own lessons from many paths of work and life. I was motivated by the focus, perseverance, and discipline that was spilling out of the pages as I was reading it, and also the out-of-the-box thinking by almost everyone in the book. Yet the book itself is quite heavy (literally) and filled with info, so it must be viewed as a deep river of gold from which you need to pick out the nuggets that resonate with you the most.
